As some members will have noticed from the forum, we have again been awarded the very prestigious Football Association Community Club of the Year award for 2011.
We have the unique honour of being the first club to be awarded this status twice (previously in 2004). Im sure that you will all join me in applauding the hard work of all the voluntary staff, coaches, helpers, parents and players who have all contributed to us winning this award again.
For those of you that do not know, the award is not awarded to the most successful team in terms of trophies, but to a club who uphold the values that the Charter Standard programme outlines and commits to continued professional development of its volunteers. The judgement criteria is vast and includes areas such as discipline, performance, coaching standard, facilities, positive experiences for young people etc.
A presentation has taken place and the photgraph taken has been added to the photo gallery on the website.
